Best Montreal Apple Picking Spots (UPDATED)

While you may not be ready for the end of summer, and quite frankly neither are we, the apple orchards are and they are ripe for the picking. Quebec's favorite fall activity is the perfect excuse to get out of the city, get some fresh air, enjoy the changing colors of the leaves, and best of all, stock up on delicious apples for you, your family, your friends, your neighbors, your classmates, etc.
If you are from here, or simply visiting and looking for things to do, well apple season begins mid-August and generally lasts until late October. And with numerous orchards, also known as vergers, just a short drive out of Montreal, you really have no excuse not to visit one. Plus, if you're smart about it, you'll bring the kids to do the picking while you enjoy the cider.
