Best Montreal Dim Sum
To be completely honest with you guys, dim sum is life. I don't know what it is about these bit-sized morsels of happiness that make them so legit amazing (the tasty flavour combinations? That you can taste a little bit of everything? The fact that you can stuff a whole bunch of them into your mouth with no regrets because they're so bite-sized?), but all I do know is that dim sum is dim yum.
Luckily for us, Montreal's got a whole bunch of awesome places to go and enjoy some seriously tasty dim sum; here are a select few that truly stand out.
1. Tong Por

Dim sum on point, life on point. The dim sum at this Ahuntsic spot? Way beyond on point, friends. The food here is straight-up tasty, delicious, and always served up fresh and piping hot. But while the dim sum here is on a level all of its own (especially the crispy chicken), the ambiance cannot be beat, either. Warm, friendly, and with food that just won't quit? Sounds like an awesome time to me!
2. Le Cristal Chinois

If you're a fan of dim sum, chances are you already know about Le Cristal Chinois. This spot is hugely popular in the city, and for one very good reason: their food is fantastic. Served up on trolleys, the dim sum here is so tasty that it just might bring actual tears to your eyes, making for one seriously mind-blolwing meal.
3. Ruby Rouge

Another popular Montreal spot for dim sum, Ruby Rouge serves up a vast amount of tasty dim sum dishes, usually carted around on trolleys for your convenience. Their ingredients are always incredibly fresh, which means that your dim sum dish will consistently be incredibly mouthwatering; and with options like salt and pepper shrimp, egg tarts, steamed shrimp rolls, and more, you know you're in for an awesome time.
4. Kam Fung

OMG. Dim Sum lovers, this one is totally for you. First of all, Maison Kam Fung's got an enormous amount of dim sum for you to choose from, so whether the name of your dim sum game is steamed dumplings, fried squid, or anything in between, they've got you covered. And if you happen to make it just in time to totally miss the dim sum, no worries. Their regular meals are a thing of beauty, too.
5. Chez Ping

This LaSalle restaurant might seem a little ways away for some of us, but it's honestly more than worth the travel time. All the food here is super fresh and tasty, and while the dim sum is seriously a work of art all on its own, the other meals served here more than hit the spot, as well. (Their General Tao chicken, for example? So. Freaking. Good).
6. Maison Foo Lam

Located on L'Acadie, in Ahuntsic-Cartierville, this spot might seem a little bit out of the way for some of us. But honestly, it's worth the trip. The dim sum here is incredibly tasty, and made fresh, making one of the most perfect dim sum spots - and spots for a little dim sum brunch, if you're down - in the whole, entire city.
7. Sai Gwan

Alright, who here loves super fresh dim sum? That was a rhetorical question, friends, because everyone's into super fresh dim sum. And you literally cannot get dim sum fresher than at Sai Gwan - and while their dim sum is the clear star of the show, the rest of the menu features fresh noodles and other incredibly tasty, traditional Asian fare, so no matter what you're in the mood for, they've got your back.
