The Cheesus Burger
What: Chicken fried triple A beef patty, white wine cream cheese sour cream cheese sauce, bacon, and smoked ketchup in a haloumi cheese bun
Where: Diablos BBQ Smokehouse
Why: A cheeseburger with actual cheese for the bun, that's why. Plus it won Burger Week MTL 2013
The Ramen Burger
What: Triple A beef patty, pickled veggies, soya-miso BBQ sauce, and cilantro in a slightly fried ramen noodle bun
Where: TK Resto Bar
Why: When the noodle bun sops up the meaty juices and you bite into the hot mess of a burger, you reach nirvana.
The Cronetto
What: Flaky croissant dough deep fried until crispy and stuffed with sweet cream
Where: La Cornetteria
Why: The whole world was going nuts for cronuts, and Montreal was not left out.
Mac n Cheese Sticks
What: Macaroni and cheese moulded into sticks, breaded, and deep fried with charred eggplant dip
Where: Le Super Truck
Why: Deep fried and dippable mac n' cheese, the food of the gods.
Mexican Salad
What: Mixed greens with beans, avocado, corn, red peppers, cheese, and tortilla chips all topped off with a cilantro-cumin vinaigrette
Where: Mandy's Salad Bar
Why: Whoever says salad isn't a man's meal hasn't tried Mandy's leafy greens. This salad will change your mind.
Toasted Sesame Donut
What: a fluffy donut topped with a miso glaze and black and white sesame seeds

Why: Like a way better sesame snap, this donut is different entirely epic.
The Return of Romados Portuguese Chicken
What: The best chicken in the city
Where: Romados
Why: All of our souls were slowly dying when Romados closed, life got good again when it returned.
Duck Confit Poutine
What: Fresh cut fries, marinated duck meat, and cheese curds drenched in a homemade foie gras and red wine gravy
Where: Lucky's Food Truck
Why: Tons of fancy poutines were served in the city this summer, but Lucky's was the most delectable
Vanilla Cupcake
What: Classic vanilla cake with creamy vanilla frosting

Why: You can get a vanilla cupcake anywhere, but none like Simplement D Liche's. Best frosting ever.
