Read on for the Best Montreal Greek Restaurants 2015.

1. Marven's

880 Avenue Ball

If you're new to the Greek restaurant game in Montreal, then allow me to introduce you to Marven's. Synonymous with "awesome Greek food" for literal decades, there's pretty much nothing that can come out of the kitchen at Marven's that'll make you regret your order. Everything is delicious, fresh, and super authentic. The buzz around town is that Marven's calamari are the star of the show, but honestly, if you've ever tried their tender, juicy souvlaki, then you just might find your new favourite dish.

2. Marathon Souvlaki

Multiple locations

Alright, the chances are very high that you already know about Marathon. And if you don't, then you definitely should. Marathon is one of the more popular Greek restaurants in Montreal, and for one very good reason: their food is out of this world. Everything - from the tender, delicious souvlaki dishes and their crispy, flavourful calamari, right down to their otherworldly potatoes, and even the creamy feta on their salads - is delicious, fresh, and oh-so good. Run there, friends. Run there.

3. Yia Sou

5375 Chemin Queen Mary

True story, friends: I could write poetry about how good the food is here. I don't know even know where to begin - the calamari, which are moist, perfectly fried, crispy and flavourful? The yummy, tender, seasoned-to-perfection souvlaki, stuffed into a heavenly pita with heaps of tangy, creamy tzatziki? The juicy, flavourful lamb, that practically melts in your mouth? Or should I begin with the casual, friendly, welcoming atmosphere? How about I just straight up say this: it's amazing. Get there now, and thank me later.

4. Ikanos

112 Rue McGill

Friends, if someone were to ask you what your idea of Food Paradise is, what would your answer be? Would it include market fresh ingredients? Would it include modern twists on old favourites? Would it include a trendy, friendly atmosphere? Well, the good news is, that paradise is a reality. And its name is Ikanos. Featuring fresh, delicious, and modern Greek/Mediterranean food, Ikanos is a guaranteed delicious time. Winning, friends. Pure winning.

5. Tripolis

679 Rue Saint Roch

Don't you just love when a restaurant is authentic, delicious, and inexpensive? Of course you do, which is exactly why Tripolis is definitely going to become your new favourite restaurant. You know. If it isn't already. Although every single dish is consistently fresh and delicious, I do have to give a little shoutout to their moist, juicy chicken. Oh, and their loukoumades, which are fresh, doused in delicious honey, and served deliciously warm.

6. Mythos

5318 Av du Parc

Who loves authentic Greek food? That was a rhetorical question. Everyone loves authentic Greek food. And luckily for us, Mythos serves up their delicious food with an abundance of authenticity. Protip: try the grilled octopus. It's tender and flavourful, and pretty much the best octopus I've had so far. Bonus points for their awesome live music, too, making the dining experience at mythos as fun as it is delicious.

7. Nostos

9540 Boulevard de l'Acadie

The only thing that'll be going through your mind as you experience the culinary miracle that is Nostos? Yum. That's it. That's all you'll be reduced to, because the food is so good that you won't really be able to form thoughts anymore. While it's true that their grilled chicken is a seared, juicy, tender masterpiece, don't let that stop you from branching out. Their spanakopita? So, so good. Their souvlaki pita? OMG. Ask for extra tzatziki sauce, too, because honestly, there is nothing in this world like the tzatziki from Nostos.

8. Cuzina Neos

Complexe Desjardins

If you want a gyro pita that's out of this world, the you're going to want to go to Cuzina Neos. Seriously. Fresh ingredients, juicy, flavourful meats, stuffed into a warm, delicious pita (which is also filled with their delicious, tangy tzatziki sauce) make Neos' pita a guaranteed hit - but really, all of their food is a huge hit. Their calamari? Delicious. Their chicken? OMG, yes please. Seriously. There are no wrong choices at Neos - only great ones.

9. Phyllo Bar Melina

5733 Av du Parc

Okay, who here loves spanakopita? The correct answer is everyone. Everyone loves spanakopita, and at Phyllo Bar Melina, they make one of the most delicious spanakopita dishes out there. A huge reason for their awesome Greek delights? Their phyllo dough, of course, which is thick, buttery, flaky, and unlike any other phyllo I've had. The best part? Their prices are super fair, which means you can stock up on their mouthwatering morsels without breaking your wallet.

10. Panama

789 Rue Jean-Talon O

Ever taste food so good that your whole world stops for a second? Yeah, that's kind of what a meal is like at Panama. Protip: their loukaniko is among the best I've ever tasted - super juicy, flavourful, and charred just right - but if you're not feeling Greek sausage, worry not. Everything on the menu is a huge success; there's literally no way you can go wrong, no matter what you pick.
