This Griffintown hot spot has a laid back atmosphere for all to enjoy, and nothing pairs better with drinks than meat.  Think bison carpaccio with chartreuse, gin, maraschino luxardo. Happy hour never felt so decadent. With a cocktail name like Big Booty Ho how could you not want to go?  This and any other beer or wine is all half priced between the glorious hours of 5 and 7.  It’s also in a great location on the Plateau to bar hop.  Best part?  They play good old school hip-hop and they have a pin ball machine! Not far from the Jean Talon market, this always lively gourmand pub serves up equally good bar food as it does happy hour deals.  A pint of St Ambroise for instance goes for $5.50.Always full and still quite the scene in the Old Port, this bar serves up their mixes for $7.50.  Quite the deal considering the kinds of top-shelf bottles being used like Grey Goose, Sapphire and Patron.  If you couldn’t afford it otherwise, now is your chance to try them out!The microbrasseurs at Helm pour such brews like St Viateur stout and theirhoppy Van Horn at the very low price of $5.25.  This Mile End treasure is an excellent way to savor a buttery, peppery and malty craft brew.  It’s also a key spot to socialize and people watch. If you can’t imagine drinking without nibbling this is just the place for you.  Serving fun and sharable plates that are inspired by the world’s most well known street foods from Mexico, Chile, India and Thailand.  How does $2 tacos with $5 margaritas sound on Tuesday?  Or $1 Oysters with a $5 glass of champagne sound on Wednesday?  Or how about a 2 for 1 deal on tropical cocktails Monday until 11pm?  All in favor say cheers!A happy hour that runs past 7 you say?  Why yes and you can sip two pints for $10 or try one of their specialty cocktails for $8 until 10pm any night of the week.  This is a great place to mingle in the Latin Quarter FYI.  Now if that doesn’t float your boat, guess you’re stuck just listening to Pharrell at home alone.5 a 7? No, Terrasses Bonsecours host something called a 5 a huîtres! Yes, on Thursdays each week during the summer they have drinks and oysters from 5 to 8 pm. Certainly something different and fun under the setting sun.

La Taverne Normand

Typically it’s just your regular MTL dive bar, but when the Habs are on this is the sports fans promise land. Think big screen and beer specials. Also each table picks a jersey number and if your player scores, good ol’ Normand himself brings you free shots! Olé, olé, olé!
