Opening as the first tartare bar in the world, Marché 27 has 10 different kinds of proteins to choose from. You can choose to have it done in any 1 of 12 different styles, so the options are endless. But you can’t go wrong with the Russian beef tartare, made with vodka, lime, onions, tobico, black pepper, and crispy beat.
This BYOB Quebec cuisine bistro features a different tartare of the day on their dinner menu every night that can be anything from duck to salmon to venison. But no matter what it is, it's always delicious.
Mme Lee is a super trendy, kind of hipster-y bar that has 4 kinds of tartare on their menu. All are excellent but the salmon is top notch. It's perfectly seasoned and come with delicious toasted bread to pile your tartare onto.
If you're not up to making a full meal out of your tartare, Laloux has an amazing appetizer option. It's a seared Beef tartare, so it has a bit of a steak taste, with smoked crème fraîche and oat crumble with hazelnut and egg yolk for some varying textures.
Sitting in Old Montreal, this Quebec farm-to-table restaurant has a unique French-style bison tartare served with onions, cheese, and pickles. They also occasionally have other game meat tartares on special so make sure you keep an eye out.

Ranked as one of the top 100 restaurants in the world, this is the place where you must take your date to make it official! You can even try their tasting menu that will let you sample the best dishes for $129. There’s even a wine-pairing option but this will cost you about $200.
Milos is a superb restaurant for traditional Greek food. It is honestly gorgeous and the food is to die for! They offer a raw fish buffet and their specialised dish is fried zucchini and eggplant, IT’S SO GOOD and perfect for Valentine's day!
Takumi Fusion Asiatique Sushi is great for all you can eat sushi! This restaurant specialises, not only in sushi, but also in tropical sushi pizza, featuring mango and crab; grilled tilapia; and lamb yakitori. This is a great way to show “the one” your fun and fishy side on Valentine's day.
For a truly fantastic date where you spend a couple of bills on the one, I recommend looking into Le Club Chasse et Pêche! They are most known for their superb braised piglet risotto with foie gras, an appetiser that will impress your special someone. They are also known for their roasted duck (served with sour cherries in a balsamic sauce) and the “The Bomb” desert, (a caramel chocolate tart with 80& chocolate sorbet).

Auberge Saint-Gabriel is known for serving divine Québécois cuisine. Veal cheek braised in Porto ($34), squid ink ravioli ($29), suckling pig from straight from a farm in Quebec City ($49), and trout confit ($14) are some of their specialties that will have your wallet crying but your date falling in love.
Maison Boulud has dishes for almost every time of day, but for the best experience, go for the $98 6-course tasting menu for supper. For dinner, you can get a razor clam salad, German butterball potato truffle gratin, a plethora of handmade pastas, and roasted rack of lamb with artichoke puree. These dishes are all enjoyed in a classy and tasteful environment.
For a truly elegant dinner, I recommend checking out La Chronique’s! Their menu offers a variety of classic French dishes. You can expect to spend about $90 – $150 with wine pairings. You have many options to choose from but by the end of the night your date will be choosing you!
This restaurant happens to one of the more affordable options on the list. You will be spending around $30 for the main dish. Or you could get a 4-course tasting menu for 75$. They specialise in marinated leeks, mozzarella di buffalo, roast duck with beetroot puree, and rôti de porc au lait.

Located in Villeray, this Spanish tapas-focused restaurant is absolutely something you need to try if you haven't already - ASAP. Their dishes are always tasty and always cooked to absolute perfection; their famous beef and salmon tartares are no exception, managing to stand out among a menu of stellar dishes.
This Ahuntsic cafe is one of my favourite spots in the city, and if you've ever been to Le Petit Flore, then you know exactly why. The food here is phenomenal, and although their tartare dishes change, no matter what you end up getting, you're guaranteed it's going to be fresh, made from super high quality ingredients, and straight-up awesome.
