What better way to celebrate your mum than by taking her out to brunch? An ideal spot would be a nice, quaint, and quiet place and luckily Montreal has plenty to offer - as always. However, getting a reservation may be tricky if you’re only calling now. Don’t expect to show up at the Ritz’s Maison Boulud without one. She, nor the Maitre D, will be impressed. Take the time to make her feel special considering she has had to put up with you, your entire life. Here are a few suggestions of some of the best Mother's Day brunch spots Montreal has to offer.

Dishes on offer include eggs bénédictine with smoked lard, mushrooms and courgettes, a gravlax plate, and blueberry pancakes. Do we need to say more? This is a great looking spot and is definitely more than fitting for your beloved mother. They do a mean mimosa. I'm sure it will make the perfect Sunday morning.Opened in 1942, this restaurant with old-school decor – think – is still going strong. Sit your mom at a booth and let her relive her happy days. The popular banana pancake is a much loved classic here. Since it's been around for a while you can't go wrong with any of the standard breakfast classics.This is the ideal cozy spot for just you and mom. This small restaurant able to accommodate under 18 people offers a fresh and light meal. Their menu is small as well, and is vegetarian and vegan friendly. But don’t worry it’s more than just granola and greens. Note: they only accept cash. So, don’t be caught still using mommy as a piggy bank on her special day.This is a lesser known, but definitely tasty spot.  Offer your mom some variety and sophistication with beautifully arranged dishes. Here you’ll find quality ingredients, reasonable prices, and nice portions. This isn’t a bacon fat, greasy kind of place. Think beautiful eggs en cocotte, cooked seasoned potatoes, fresh bread, and lovely latte bowls.Serve your mother a bit of decadence, she deserves it! This is a chic and modern bistro worthy of any mother’s palette. A Parisian feel to both ambiance and menu options. Think oeufs pochés, blinis, saumon fumé, and caviar d'Espagne. Oh, and save room for their homemade donuts. They’re divine.Let your mom live out her breakfast at Tiffany’s fantasies at Birks. The menu is by Jérôme Ferrer of Restaurant Europea. There’s a fixed price at $39.50 for adults and $19.50 for those under 12. Who would say no to multiple courses, a complimentary mimosa and a view of the finest jewelry?A great spot if it’s going to be more than just you and mom. A guaranteed good meal in a refined looking place. You’ll be served delicious French food by knowledgeable and friendly staff.Only delicious foods are to be found at this industrial looking restaurant. Don’t let mom judge by the appearance, however, because they make exceptional and visually appealing brunch options.This is a classic brunch place on the Montreal main that will give your mom a variety of options. Did we mention there’s a crepes bar? What mother doesn’t love to be in control? She can choose what she wants and how she wants it. Typically they offer a Mother’s Day brunch buffet for $59 and with so much to choose from it’ll make even the pickiest of mother’s happy.A fine dining experience that will definitely make your mom feel like a queen. Their brunch is a “steal” with two courses for $39 or three courses for $49. Putting on the Ritz will suit any mommy just fine. Posh surroundings and rich menu options will leave you wanting more.
