In honour of Le Burger Week, it’s no surprise we’d get on board the juicy grilled meat train! Wait, you didn’t know there was a week dedicated to finding the tastiest burgers in town? Yes, and it’s not just occurring here in good ol’ MTL. This year marks the third installment of the event. From the 1st of September to the 7th a total of 180 different burgers from Montreal, Ottawa, Gatineau, Quebec City, Toronto and Winnipeg will have competed for the title of best burger in their individual cities. Here is a list of some of the heavy hitters this week. They make darn good patties if we do say so!
Jukebox Burgers11798 de Salaberry Dollard-Des Ormeaux, QC H9B
A real contender this year is this retro joint’s Southern Comfort burger ($13.95). Description: Corn flaked fried chicken, candied bacon, Monterey jack cheese, maple mayonnaise with a waffle bun. Sweet and salty never tasted better. They had us at candied bacon.

How could we not feature a burger that pays tribute to our belle province? AND it’s a special entry for Le Burger Week. Meet the Poutine Burger ($19.00). You read right folks! Description: AAA beef, bacon, cheese curds, gruyère, and gravy – topped with caramelized onions, french fries, and pulled pork in an onion roll. Combining the best of two worlds in our opinion.

Meat with a cause: $1 of each #Shrinersburger ($10) sold will go to the Shriners Hospital for Kids. Description: Beef burger grilled on wood charcoal topped with a mushroom & caramelized onion cheese fondue, spicy chipotle and smoked BBQ sauces, garnished with fresh cilantro.

Just as the title for this Burger Week entry suggests, this is one Fancy Sh*t Burger ($11)! Best part is they’ve created two for the event: 1. MEAT BURGER: their famous triple A signature patty resting on a bed their secret homemade pesto sauce, covered with a blanket of melted brie cheese, their chef’s specialty caramelized pears in red wine, a slice of premium grilled ham, fresh tomato and delicate green leaf. 2.VEGE BURGER: Hummus WafuBurger made with their homemade chickpea patty resting on a bed of their owner’s grandma’s secret hummus recipe, fresh lettuce, covered with their house sweet potato fries, garden fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, parsley and a kiss of Wafu wasabi mayo. However will you decide?!

Do it like a dude! Get all up in this greasy goodness grill. Description: a thick meat patty made of a blend of AAA beef, veal and pork topped with melted Monterey jack and mozzarella garnished with their special house ketchup and crispy fried onions served on an artisanal sesame seed toasted brioche bun. Bro, this is a real situation.
Burger Royal3820 St Laurent Montreal, QC H2W1X6
Like Samuel L. Jackson pronounced in Pulp Fiction: “Hamburgers! The cornerstone of any nutritious breakfast.” For any time of day the Tarantino ($12) is motha f*#&ing good! Description: freshly ground full cuts of beef (hormone & antibiotic free, grass fed free range from Quebec we should mention), daily made fresh organic buns or gluten free lettuce wrap, house made jam (maple smoked bacon & sweet onion), white truffle mayo, smoked swiss raclette cheese, handpicked market fresh baby arugula and perfectly ripened juicy Quebec field tomatoes.
