8 Good Montreal Restaurants And 2 Amazing Ones!
Truly fantastic spots you'll want to eat at.
I think at this stage in the game, you guys are pretty much aware that the Montreal dining scene is my life.
We've quite possibly got some of the best restaurants in the world, in my opinion; every spot is great in its own right, to be honest, so it's always a little difficult to narrow down which ones are truly the best.
But there are a few spots that are universally loved. Just keep in mind, though, that what makes a spot go from "good" to "amazing" is personal opinon. What's amazing to me might just be good to you, and vice versa, so at the end of the day, it's up to you to decide the spots that amaze you the most!
Dining at Impasto is awesome!
Fine Italian cuisine lovers, this spot is about to become your new BFF. Everything is made with passion and love, and although there's no such thing as a dish that won't make you happy at Impasto, their homemade chacuterie board (with homemade mortadella, and more!) is sure to leave you wanting more.
Dining at Nozy is awesome!
This St. Henri spot is a staple for anyone who seriously loves Japanese food. They've got a menu full of tasty and fresh dishes, like sashimi, karaage (Japanese fried chicken), salmon tartare, and much more!
Dining at L'Express is awesome!
Tartare lovers - and lovers of food in general - rejoice. This Plateau restaurant is known for their above and beyond delicious tartare and hamburgers, and trust, one visit here will have you convinced that it's not just a dining spot, but a dining experience.
Dining at Sapori Di Napoli is awesome!
This little gem is hidden in Montreal's Ahuntsic, and if you're quite a ways away, trust me when I tell you this spot is life. The pizzas are cooked to perfection and always made with the highest quality ingredients; the pasts is homemade and straight-up delicious; and everything about this place is straight-up an awesome time.
Dining at Vegano is awesome!
I don't even know where to begin with this Plateau spot, friends. Vegano is - as the name hints - a 100% vegan restaurant, but they serve dishes outside of the norm. They've got vegan Italian dishes (like creamy pastas), vegan brunch options, and a whole lot more!
Dining at Venice is awesome!
If you're looking for something fresh and tasty in the downtown and/or Old Montreal areas of the city, then have I got some great news for you. This fun and vibrant spot has got your back, with poke bowls, flatbread pizza, salads, smoothies, and pretty much the best vibes you'll find in the whole city!
Dining at Ma Poule Mouille is awesome!
This Plateau Portuguese restaurant is pretty much the king of poutine at this point, friends, and if you've ever been there, then you know exactly why: delicious sauce, cheese, fries, and thick chunks of Portuguese chicken and chorizo make up their star dish. But trust me, don't shy away from their other dishes. Personally, I'm a huge fan of their super fresh squid plate, for example.
Dining at Sumac is awesome!
This Middle-Eastern restaurant in St. Henri is what actual dreams are made of. Everything is above and beyond fresh, and super tasty to boot. Protip? Try their hummus fries. So, so, so good.
Dining at Lemeac is amazing!
Legit, I tried Lemeac for the first time not too long ago, and I was actually blown. TF. Away. Their dishes are super creative and presented so beautifully that you might not actually want to eat it... but trust me, friend. Eat it. Enjoy it. Becuase the food here is legit spectacular.
Dining at Park is amazing!
At this stage in the game, you might know Park Restaurant as one of the best spots in the city to get sushi. And it's its unsurpassable reputation that makes Park a truly amazing dining experience in the city; if you go, make sure to try their omasake (chef's choice) dish.
