As we’ve started to see already, Montreal can get pretty hot in the summer. Thankfully, the city has lots of outdoor pools in which you can take a dip and cool off. There are a bunch, but a few of them stand out from the rest. Here are Montreal’s Best Outdoor Pools.
Parc Jean-Drapeau Aquatic Complex/Beach
We already told you about all of the cool stuff that's going to be at Parc Jean-Drapeau soon, but you can have fun swimming there even on a normal day. There's a normal pool and a beach, so you can have your choice of where you want to spend your time in the water.
This park is home to a gorgeous outdoor pool, but the fun doesn't stop there. After you dry off, check out the huge, leafy trees, or suntan on one of the large open fields.
Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel
No luxury hotel would be complete without a heated outdoor pool, and they've got one here. It's located on the rooftop, so you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the city as you lounge around in the warm water.
Hotel Le Crystal
The very name of this hotel suggests a lavish experience, and their facilities support the name. They've got an outdoor jacuzzi that you'll want to relax in for hours and hours.
Cap St. Jaques Beach
This park is loaded with cool activities, among which swimming on the beach is just one. You can also check out the ecological farm, have a picnic, or really whatever else you can dream of doing in a beautiful park.
Piscine Royal Victoria
This pool is a bit hard to find, since it's hidden near the hospital, but it's well worth tracking down.
You'll want to come here if you happen to find yourself taking young children for a swim. They've got a wading pool that's reserved for children under nine.
Gabriel-Lalemant Aquatic Complex
This is the perfect place to come for water lovers of all ages. Older swimmers (specifically those older than eight years old) can hang out in the full-sized pool, and younger swimmers can have fun in the wading pool.
Marcelin-Wilson Aquatic Complex
Athletes will want to check this place out, because they've got a soccer field and tennis courts. After you get hot and sweaty from playing, cool off in their huge outdoor pool.
As much as we love Montreal, some things are so awesome that they make it worth leaving for a bit. This pool, located in Laval, is one of those things.
Montreal is filled with tributes to the legendary politician, but this might be the finest. Cartier himself would have been proud to swim in this pool.

Just because you're all the way in Ville Saint-Laurent, doesn't mean you shouldn't enjoy a nice refreshing dip. That's why this pool's got the goods to help you cool off.

This pool is named after the once-owner of the Verdun Maple Leafs, an amateur hockey team that Maurice Richard once played for. If Therrien could see how much Montrealers love it, he'd agree that it's a fitting tribute.
