For the longest time Laval has been an easy target for Montreal-driven humour. As the butt of many jokes, if you're from Montreal proper dropping a Laval joke is classic. But now, it seems as though the joke might be on us. Laval is booming, and slowly becoming it's very own city with a "downtown" core - actually more than one!
As of 2017 the estimated population of Laval has almost reached half a million. Half a million mouths to feed is quite a lot. And all of our friends to the North don't just need to eat - just like us Montrealers - our neighbours to the North are also looking a wide-range of dining experiences.
Over the next few pages we will take you through some of the best Laval has to offer in terms of restaurants. From casual family-style dining to white table cloth experiences, and everything in between - Laval's got it all. Hard to believe, but looks like we might be travelling over the bridge on Friday nights, instead of the other way around.
