Best Restaurants In Montreal's Little Italy 2015
100% pure yum.
If you've ever been to Little Italy, then you know. You know the difficulty that comes with picking a place to eat. You know the temptation of having tons of awesome options at every corner. Is it a struggle? Definitely. Is it hard to pick? For sure. Hopefully, though, this list helps you out just a tad. Or maybe it'll make things a little harder for you. Either way, read on for the Best Restaurants In Montreal's Little Italy.
1. Pizzeria Gema
Imagine if simplicity and freshness got married and had a baby. The good news is that you don't have to imagine it. It's a reality, friends. That baby's name is Gema, and it's making its parents proud. On-point dishes like the Impasto pizza (featuring things like hot cherry peppers and smoked caciocavallo cheese) and fresh, local ingredients makes Gema an awesome choice for any night out. And an ace choice on your next Little Italy excursion.
Have you ever literally turned into the heart eyes emoji? If you've never tried Corneli, then the answer is no. Try their lasagna and prepare to fall in amore; nosh on their mussels and fries and try not to weep out of sheer happiness. Bonus points? Corneli's got an awesome bar, perfect for a night on the town with friends. Or, you know. A night on the town with yourself. No judgement.
First and foremost, Salmigondis serves up possibly the best brunch you've ever tasted. And there is nothing better than noshing on brunch in Little Italy. But putting that aside for a second, Salmigondis does an excellent job of serving unique, delicious, and fresh food for every other meal, as well. S/O to their Zucchini flowers which put my nonna's to shame. (Don't tell her I said that).

4. Dinette Triple Crown
Okay, true talk, I think we all know about Dinette Triple Crown. If you don't, stop what you're doing and get there. Scratch that. Run there. They have some of the best fried chicken of all time, but even if you branch out and try one of their other dishes, there is no way you can be disappointed. Trust me on this, friends.
5. Cafe Via Dante
The only thing that comes to mind once you try the food at Via Dante is: yum. Seriously. The food there is so good that it literally obliterates all other thought. Bonus points for their friendly ambiance and service, too. Everything on point, my friends. Everything on point.
6. Restaurant Douro
Ever try the best squid in the whole world? If you've been to Douro, then you can very proudly say that yes. Yes you have. Douro is Little Italy's Portuguese restaurant, and trust me when I say they do Portuguese right. Go for gold and try their "Cream From Heaven" dessert. One word: omg.
7. Piatto Pieno
The quintessential Italian restaurant, Piatto Pieno promises two things: good food, and lots of it. Mix this together with super fair prices, and you've got yourself one awesome restaurant. Not only is Piatto Pieno the perfect place for a date or a night out with friends, but it's also a top location for bigger parties, too. Bonus points for its covered terrasse, which is super magical and will add that extra oomph to your evening.
8. Bottega Pizzeria
When you try the pizza at Bottega, try your best not to weep from pure happiness. It won't work, though. The pizza there is that good. Even their most simple pizza - the Focaccia - is nothing short of amazing, proving that fresh, quality ingredients is king in the game of pizza-making. Keep doing you, Bottega. You're awesome.

9. Café International
Three words: fresh homemade pasta. If that didn't instantly make you hungry, nothing will. Well, maybe the food at Café International will. Their pasta is so fresh that it melts in your mouth - but don't just stick to the pasta. Their pizzas are so on point that they'll change your lives. For the better, friends. For the better.
10. Pizzeria Napoletana
Of course, no list of Little Italy restaurants would be complete without the iconic Pizzeria Napoletana. Serving up amazing pizza since 1948, Napoletana hits the ambiance/price/portions/amazing food nail on the head. Protip: the pizza there is amazing, but if you're feeling pasta, don't be afraid to try one of there amazing dishes. You won't be disappointed, friends.
