The "Pumpkin Lantern Festival" Just Outside Of Montreal You Definitely Need To Road-Trip To As Soon As Fall Begins

Over 7,000 pumpkins that look spookily life-like!

The countdown to Halloween has pretty much already begun. Yes, it's still currently summer, but most of us just can't wait for the beautiful fall foliage, pumpkin spice lattes and of course, amazing autumn activities!

Although not too many fall-themed events have begun just yet, we can begin to anticipate them. One of the most popular things to do during the months approaching Halloween? You guessed it, pumpkin-related events. Whether it's pumpkin picking, pumpkin eating, or pumpkin fests, we seriously can't have enough!

That's why it's such a relief to hear that the coolest pumpkin lantern festival near Montreal is about to begin in just a few weeks.

Pumpkinferno (which for the record, is the coolest festival name ever), is all about the most extravagant and incredible pumpkin carvings and displays you'll ever be able to see. Witness life-like, glowing pumpkins that'll put your homemade jack-o-lanterns to shame.

The award-winning festival takes place in Upper Canada Village in Morrisburg, Ontario. Not to worry though, the drive is only an hour and a half away.

Once you're at the festival you'll be greeted by over 7,000 handcrafted pumpkins lit across a kilometer long path that takes you through a historical-turn-spooky 19th century village.

The Pumpkinferno fest begins on September 29 and runs almost every night until October 28. This is definitely one of the first autumn events you'll want to go to before Halloween begins, so you might as well start preparing for the festive month right now!
