Seriously, I feel like brunch is the world's greatest meal. Ignoring the fact that it's a two-in-one that can be eaten on its own (or between after breakfast and before lunch, if you're feeling like a champ), all the best foods are served at brunch.
Like mimosas (not a food, but still a staple); bagels with lox; French toast; bacon; it even comes with a slice of canteloupe at the end.
And if you're a Montrealer who loves to brunch, then you know how truly blessed we are. Montreal has a whole bunch of spots to enjoy a mindblowing lunch; but one has definitely achieved landmark status in the city over the past few years.
L'Avenue (922 Mont-Royal Ave E) is a brunch restaurant in the Plateau known for its innovative menu, urban/welcoming decor, and its long lines - which are, trust me, 110% worth the wait.
Very soon, L'Avenue will be opeing up a second location in St. Henri. Honestly, I think this is an amazing thing: this spot is truly one-of-a-kind, and making it available for Montrealers in different parts of the city is a thing of beauty.
