Best Restaurants In Montreal's Lachine

There's much more than just a canal.

Honestly, is there a Montreal borough more beautiful than Lachine? Don't answer that question, friends. We all know the answer already: No, there is not.

With its waterfront views, gorgeous scenery, and super fun things to do, Lachine should really be on your bucket list of places to visit in Montreal. Unless you already live there. In which case, I'd just like to say that I'm totally, 100%, not at all jealous of you. 0% jealousy from me, folks. None at all.

Of course, a big part of what makes Lachine so awesome is that it's got some fantastic places to grab a bite. Don't know where to start your Lachine foodie adventure? Well, don't worry, friends. I've got your back.

1. Le Grill Barroso

3060 Boulevard Saint Joseph

Alright, seriously? Prepare to fall in love. If you're a fan of Portuguese food, then you might know about Le Grill Barroso. I mean, even if Portuguese food isn't really your thing, you should definitely still know about Barroso.

The food here is consistently fresh and bursting with flavour, and although there's no such thing as a bad decision at Barroso, their juicy, tender, and tasty chourico is definitely a huge winner.

2. El Meson

1678 Boulevard Saint Joseph

This Lachine Mexican spot has gotten some love from us in the past, and for one very good reason: They're food will blow you away. Featuring authentic, delicious, and fresh Mexican dishes, El Meson is pretty much the ultimate paradise for Mexican food lovers (or for any food lovers, TBH).

All of their dishes are pretty much a huge win, but their Carne Asada? Yeah. I dare you to try it without tears of happiness forming in your eyes. Get there now, friends, and thank me later.

3. Tubomi Sushi

1199 Rue Notre Dame

Alright, confession time: Sushi is my number one favourite food, forever. And if you're a huge lover of sushi, like I am, then you're going to become seriously addicted to Tubomi.

Their amazingly fresh and flavourful sushi rolls are on a whole other level of awesome, and their prices are super fair when you think about the pure quality that you're getting. Sushi fans, you know where to go.

4. La Strada

600 Boulevard Saint Joseph

I've got one acronym for you guys: BYOB. That's right. Lachine's La Strada restaurant serves up some super tasty and authentic Italian dishes (such as their incredibly fresh, tasty Linguine Al Pesto dish, or their super succulent and perfectly seasoned Marsala chicken), and boasts an incredibly warm and welcoming atmosphere.

On top of all that, though? La Strada also happens to be a bring your own wine restaurant. Awesomeness all around? You know it.

6. Pasta Andrea

1718 Boulevard Saint Joseph

Lovers of pasta, this one's for you. While it's true that Pasta Andrea is ace at serving up one seriously legit tasty, fresh bowl of pasta, the best part about this Lachine spot is that you actually get to construct your own pasta dish.

Yup, that's right. Feeling some gnocchi Alfredo? Go for it. Want some tortellini carbonara? It's all you, friend. Down for a little spaghetti quattro formaggi? The choice is yours! And since every dish features Pasta Andrea's signature fresh pasta and incredibly tasty sauce, you know that no matter what, you're in for a good time.

7. Il Fornetto

1900 Boulevard Saint Joseph

Alright, I'm not even going to bother asking if you love fresh and authentic Italian food. I already know the answer. It's yes, because everyone loves fresh and authentic Italian food, and if you are a true lover of the world's best cuisines (in my own very biased opinion), then have I got some good news for you.

Il Fornetto is not only one of the best spots for Italian food in Lachine, but in the city, as well. All of their food is so good that it will literally (yes, literally) blow your mind - but their fried calamari, featuring super tender squid and tasty, crispy batter, is a thing of pure beauty.

8. H8S

2130 Boulevard Saint Joseph

Straight-up, this list would be incomplete without mentioning H8S. First of all, the coffee here is amazing. A perfect blend of rich, creamy, and fragrant; H8S is seriously one of the best spots to go to in Lachine to get rid of that coffee crave.

Putting aside their coffee, H8S also offers a handful of awesome pastries and - wait for it - some honestly amazing grilled-cheese sandwiches. Although, technically a cafe, H8S should 100% be your next spot to grab some fantastic coffee and a delicious bite to eat.

But if you haven't been to Taormina Lounge, well, you're going to want to get yourself there, ASAP. Not only does this spot serve up some on-point meals, they've got a vibe that can't be beat, making it the perfect spot for a party, a gathering, or any kind of awesome celebration.

10. Eatalie

18 45e Av

What if I told you that there was a place you could enjoy homemade pasta, pizza, and more, all at a super affordable price and right in your backyard? Would you believe me? Well, friends, you should. That place exists, and it's called Eatalie.

Their yummy menu features traditional Italian dishes - like Milanese-style chicken cutlets and Italian sausage pizzas - all homemade and super, super fresh. Lovers of Italian food (and food in general), rejoice.
