An explosion near the Port Authority Bus Terminal shook midtown Manhattan, leading to the arrest of one person, and the closure of multiple subway lines.
As the story developed, the improvised device turned out to be pipe bomb and a battery pack.
The exact site of the explosion appears to have been a subway platform close to the terminal.
And the injury toll increased to one--the bomber himself.
Although the suspect has not been identified by name, it is believed that he is in his 20s, possibly from Bangladesh.
