Breathtaking Pictures Of Montreal Notre-Dame Basilica

A closer look at one of Montreal's most iconic buildings.
Breathtaking Pictures Of Montreal Notre-Dame Basilica

The Basilique Notre-Dame de Montréal has stood watch over Montreal since 1929. Located at 110 Notre-Dame West it is one of the most dramatic looking structures of its kind.

One of the things that makes this church so unique is the fact that the stained glass found inside do not represent religious and biblical scenes, instead they feature scenes from Montreal's history.

The basilica used to be named the Church of Notre-Dame until 1982 when pope John Paul II raised its status to "Basilica", and in the year 2000, it was the site of Maurice Richard's funeral.

Let's take a closer look at one of Montreal's most iconic buildings.
