It happened again.ย Another building facade in Montreal has collapsed and unlike the last one that only damaged a car, this one actually hit a pedestrian.ย

On Wednesday evening around 10:00 pm, a 30-year-old man was walking along Mont-Royal Avenue near the corner of Boyer Street when the facade of the building above him collapsed and rained bricks down onto the street and terrasse below.ย
The man was injured but luckily not too badly. Thankfully since it was raining heavily yesterday evening the terrasse was empty.ย

The wall was inspected by firefighters and the area is still fenced off as of this morning.
This is the 2nd time in a month that something like this has happened and sadly it's the kind of thing we're getting used to hearing about in Montreal. 4 weeks ago, a massive concrete slab fell from a building on the corner of Park and Prince Arthur. The piece fell 10 stories and landed on car.ย
