Canada Is Officially Getting Its Own Version Of 'RuPaul's Drag Race'
If you were excited to see a Canadian queen on RuPaul's drag race this season, I've got great news for you. Crave have announced that they will be debuting a new series called Drag Race Canada.
This new show is looooong overdue for all of the Canadian fans of RuPaul's drag race who want to see more Canadian talent on screen.
The show will be casting its first set of Canadian queens this summer, though the official debut for Drag Race Canada has yet to be released. We can't wait to watch this new show!
Blue Ants Studio, the company which will be producing the show, promises that the show will have "elements of the classic fan-favourite, with a healthy serving of Canadian maple shade, and likely, some Canadian bacon."
It's been ten years since RuPaul's Drag Race premiered, so it's high time that we get our own version of the American show.
Other countries, including the UK and Thailand, already have, or are in the process of getting their version of the reality show.
RuPaul has announced that "The panel and judges will be from the Great White North, representing Canada's very best. This new franchise has my whole-hearted blessing. Good luck… and don't puck it up!"
We can't wait to see who they choose as a host and as judges. Hopefully, Brooke Lynn Hytes will feature heavily on the show. Maybe Justin Trudeau will even make an appearance.
We can't wait to see the Canadian queens shantay onto the Canadian main stage and bring their best and most patriotic outfits.
If I don't see a queen on skates, I'm going to be disappointed.
Canada is getting its very own version of RuPaul's Drag Race. Though a premiere date has not yet been set, casting is starting this summer.
