Canada's Spring 2018 Weather Forecast Revealed

Today is the official start of Spring!

That means it's time to look ahead at the weather and lucky for us, the Weather Network has just released their updated forecast for Spring 2018, as well as little sneak preview of what summer has in store for us.

The weird weather patterns are expected to continue through April. Western and Central Canada will have to deal with colder than normal temperatures while Quebec, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia's weather will be a little warmer.

British Columbia

The nice weather will be late and cooler than normal for the first half of Spring, but temperatures will be near seasonal during the second half. Precipitation is expected to be near normal.


Colder than normal during March and April. Warm and dry pattern expected as we get closer to summer.

Ontario and Quebec

Colder than normal temperatures for March and most of April. High threat of winter storms. The second half of Spring is expected to be closer to normal.

Atlantic Canada

Temperature swings will continue and there is a possibility that the area will be hit with another nor’easter. Above normal precipitation can also be expected.

Northern Canada

Most areas can expect normal temperatures for the whole season except for the Yukon which will be colder and drier. Precipitation is expected to be near normal.

Summer Sneak Peak

Summer is supposed to be hot this year everywhere except for the Great Lakes. Most areas will have normal or above normal temperatures from June to August and overall we can expect a similar season as we had last summer.
