Canadian Jobs That Pay More Than $50,000 Without A University Degree
Whenever we post job listings for high paying jobs, the comment we see the most is about how those jobs require years of studying and advanced university degrees.
But you don't necessarily need a university diploma to make good money in this country, and having a diploma won't guarantee you'll have a good career.

There are plenty of other great careers options out there according to Monster. Half of Canada's workforce between the ages of 25 and 65 do not have a post-secondary diploma or university degree, and they're doing just fine.
Here are 5 career paths that will pay you over $50,000 a year, that do not require a university degree:
1. Trades
Skilled trades make up 25% of all Canadian jobs, and in the next 10 years, Canada is expecting to see a shortage of skilled tradespeople. That means the demand for these jobs is going to soar.
There are hundreds or trades to choose from including Mechanic, Electrician, Welder, Construction Worker, and Plumber.
2. Sales
When it comes to sales jobs there are several advantages.
You earn according to how hard you work, you choose how much training you feel you need, and you can work in a wide variety of fields, including Pharmaceutical, Media, Food service, Recruitment and IT.
In the end, if you're a good enough salesman, no one will care about whether or not you have a diploma. But of course you can receive training to become better salesman, and it won't take you 4 years to accomplish.
3. Art
Despite what you may think, artists aren't necessarily starving these days. At least, not the good ones.
The entire planet is now online, and they need an army of graphic designers to make sure their websites look amazing and up to date. Plus, since many graphic designers are actually pretty terrible at their jobs, it won't take much for you to stand out.
But "Art" isn't limited to just drawing. Perhaps your art involves photography, musical instrument, creative writing, or building something out of nothing. As long as you're willing to hustle and you have actual talent, you can make plenty of money living off of your artwork.
4. Entrepreneur
Got an idea you think could make you a lot of money one day? Then what are you waiting for? It's time to learn how to turn your idea into a money making machine.
Many of the world's most famous entrepreneurs barely finished high school, and you can join their ranks. All you have to do is get off your ass and figure out how to turn your dream into a reality.
The best part is that you don't have to reinvent the wheel (although that would be a great invention). There are tons of resources available to you including mentoring, financing, and even "how-to" guides.
5. Driver
Whether it's Truck, Bus, Taxi, Uber or Limo, the fact is that people need to go places and they want you to take them there.
Here, the only thing you're judged on is how well you drive. And again, you control how much money you make by choosing how much time you spend on the road.
There's barely any studying involved either, just a little practice, and the proper license.
Forget about $50,000, long haul truck drivers can make over $100,00 a year.
