Céline Dion Concert Inspires Complete Strangers To Break Out Into Song (Video)

If you don't know the power of Céline Dion, you haven't been paying attention these past few days. The Quebec superstar became an instant meme when she had to stop her car to listen to a stranger sing a sidewalk rendition of "I Surrender." Now, her music has brought people together again, this time in the NYC subway.

Videos posted to social media show a crowd of dozens coming together to scream out some of Céline's most popular songs following her concert in Brooklyn.

"It was an amazing moment," Natalie (@natgrillz), one of the participants, tells MTL Blog.

"Any time you leave a big concert venue you dread the massive crowds heading towards the subway. As I entered the Barclays station though to catch the N train, I immediately heard Céline’s music and my mood completely changed."

"All of these people who had just experience the magic of Céline gathered to celebrate her music. We all got together to really belt My Heart Will Go On before I caught my train."

"With everything going on in the world this was just a great New York moment of humans coming together and it was pure bliss."

Natalie's video shows the roughly 100 people raise their phones for a spirited rendition of Céline's most famous English song.

Are these people shedding tears? We wouldn't be surprised.

The crowd's efforts were so strong that veins are clearly visible popping out of singers' necks and foreheads.

The Barclays Center also posted a video of the impromptu chorus, calling it "the best type of NY moment."

It's unclear how long the revellers stuck around, but it looks like it was long enough for a complete performance of "It's All Coming Back To Me Now."

Céline Dion's Courage World Tour next heads to Newark before crossing the country and making its way to Europe, where it will conclude with a show in London in September.
