UPDATE* We found the source of this hoax. Definitely not cool for the people that actually applied for jobs.
After having all our burrito dreams come true, it seems that it was all a cruel hoax. The original add has since been removed, with a tweet from Chipotle saying they only hope to come to Montreal soon, but nothing concrete for now.
Major companies posting job openings on Craigslist and Kijiji is common practice, so we saw no reason to believe it was a fake. Alas, we were fooled, and in turn we fooled you. For that, we apologize.
The very thought that Chipotle was coming to the city made our day, hell our week, so it's definitely a big disappointment that it seems it was all a lie, though why someone would plant a Chipotle job posting to then remove it is beyond us.
There is one silver lining to all this, however, and that's the fact that Montrealers have shown their overwhelming support for Chipotle coming to the city, which will hopefully encourage the fast-food chain to make it a reality sooner rather than later.
