City Of Montreal Finally Finishes Abandoned "Birthday" Construction Site

Last week we wrote about a group of Montrealers who threw a one year birthday party for an abandoned construction site that had been left in the middle of the street, at the corner of Holt Street and 10th Avenue. The residents were fed up with its presence and decided to do something about it that was equal parts hilarious and attention grabbing.

Well, it appears that the city of Montreal did take notice, and they finally returned to the construction site to finish what they started a year ago. And do you know how long it took for them to finish the work?... An hour. A single hour. One block of 60 minutes. As long as it takes to watch an episode of Game of Thrones. For crying out loud, Montreal! What has this city come to if it'll just leave an hour's worth of work unfinished because they can't be bothered going back?

I think the moral of the story, and the real takeaway here, is that if you publicly shame the city enough, they'll actually get something done.

Have you seen anything around Montreal that seriously needs fixing? Send us a message and let us know!
