Controversial Anti-Vaxx Group Billboards Are Being Spotted In Canada

Anti-vaxx group Vaccine Choice Canada, a group dedicated to talking about vaccine hesitancy, has made their most far-reaching advertising stunt yet. They displayed a billboard in Toronto that encourage people to go to their website to learn more about why they shouldn't vaccinate their kids

The billboard, which reads "How many is too many? Educate BEFORE you vaccinate," has been called "poisonous" by health care authorities.

Vaccine Choice Canada aims to "educate" parents about the dangers of vaccinations.

The group has over 50 billboards in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, according to their Facebook page. Billboard topics range from talking about the risks of vaccines to reminding people children don't need to be vaccinated to go to school.

As the Globe and Mail reported, the posters are subtle in their presentation: at first glance it is not obvious that the posters are promoted by an anti-vaxx group. The billboard's message is insidious.

Though most Canadians agree that vaccines are necessary, and a growing number believe that it should in fact be mandatory to vaccinate kids before they attend school.
