Dave Chappelle Shows Up To Montreal Restaurant In NDG After Hours

The best kind of late-night surprise.

Every person in Montreal who doesn't live under a rock knows by now that Dave Chappelle is in town for the Just For Laugh's Festival. Not only is he performing 10 shows, but apparently he's making the most of his time here in the city by checking out some of the amazing restaurants that Montreal has to offer, including an after hours stop at the well known Lucille's Oyster Dive this past weekend.

On Saturday night, after the employees had already closed up shop for the evening, Dave Chapelle's rep called up Lucille's and said that Dave wanted to eat at the restaurant that night. And as you do when someone as epic as Dave Chappelle calls your restaurant, they opened everything back up.

Dave and a group of 15 people showed up to the restaurant at 1:30am and had their own private party until the wee hours of the morning. And as you could probably expect, he was cool enough to pose for pictures and have a few drinks with everyone working there. Now I'm certain that the average person never likes having to work late unexpectedly, but I'm sure that this is one of those rare instances where it was totally worth it.
