Why you need to be there: J.U.D, Montreal's artistic emperor is an hors-pair musician, graphic designer and DJ. The artist has already six EPs available for a listening session, his sounds bring out a very chill atmosphere and are known to quickly captivate the audience. He was announced part of the programming by Igloofest later than most, but we are extremely pleased to see him perform this year at the Montreal winter festival.
Why you need to be there: Thomas White is not only a DJ and producer but the co-Founder of record label Raw Records. His presence in Montreal's artist scene is undeniable and he proves at every single track release his sounds are on top. If you appreciate urban electronic music, Thomas White has it all for you. A superb local talent to discover.

He currently collaborates with Saintwoods franchise player Ryan Playground, who performed at Piknic Electronic last summer and record label Coaton Club's very own hip-hop genius, Jei Bandit.
Why you need to be there: Do we really need to say more than the name? Luciano, who is currently on an international tour and will be performing in Moscow right before his set at Igloofest on the 8th is one of the biggest DJs on earth. Fans from all over the world have repeatedly proved their love for Luciano's dance music over the years and Montreal is lucky to have the chance to see him live this year.
Why you need to be there: If there's one thing to say about Da-P, it is that he had a great 2014 year. Recently signed to Los Angeles based record label, his tracks and mix clashed with the industry's titans these last months and he is not about to stop. His soundcloud is a delightful experience, ranging from house electro to deep trap. Be there on January 23rd because you will jump off your feet as soon as his sounds blast out Igloofest's massive speakers.

We are very pleased he is part of the Igloofest line-up and will not miss out on his set on the Videotron stage! Lastly, Dave has a remix releasing on Raw Records' EP coming out at the end of January and he is working on a remix of Schoolboy Q which is meant to be fire!
Why you need to be there: Paco Osuna is the definition of a veteran DJ. He released his first produced tracks under a label in 1999, sixteen years ago. His love for techno brought him all around the world, especially in Spain where he built residency in international clubs. Paco Osuna's insane techno set will give you chills, be assured.
Why you need to be there: The Montreal originated duo has a lot of energy to give and yes, you will like it. They just got back from their Latin American tour, ready to annihilate the Igloofest stage with electro sounds straight out of your best clubbing experience. Good thing you like to party, because they also do and they do it beautifully. Be prepared for an intense experience on January 30th.
Why you need to be there: Nick Wisdom, who is originally from Vancouver and now living in Montreal, is a very special guest to Igloofest this year. His style is absolutely different from others; through his jazzy, electronic, rhythmic sounds, Nick Wisdom dives with you in a peculiar musical dimension. His affiliation with Saintwoods and Bastard Jazz give him a solid foot in the North American music scene with thousands of fans from the US. Nick is also part of Potatohead People and MELT MTL; both greatly talented groups of artists. Furthermore, Wisdom is working with Illa J, brother of producing legend J Dilla, on an upcoming album.

Their ability to remix your favorite tracks got them where they are now and they will deliver to Igloofest attendees an energetic show, as always.
Why you need to be there: Co-Founder of Raw Records and Montreal based producer and DJ, Dear Lola is rather new to the scene as an emerging artist, but absolutely loved by all the ones who hear. His recent EP release took Montreal by surprise has it brought a groovy atmosphere where it was needed. Dear Lola works closely with other artists such as WYLN, Dave Luxe and Dead Horse Beats.
Why you need to be there: Robert Dietz built his career in Frankfurt, where Luciano, also performing at the festival this edition, dominated for so many years. His sets are well-known to leave you speechless as he transitions incredibly well every single set. Dietz just announced his international tour, from Turin to Montreal. It is an honor to the city to receive such a veteran artist. Do not miss his set!

He has performed at Osheaga, Le Belmont, Piknic Electronik and many more venues and events in the past year. His bass music will hurt not your ears but your feet as you will jump and trash up Igloofest's dance floor to Construct's bass filled sounds. Lastly, the artist will be releasing an EP with Black Butter Records in Spring! Stay tuned and don't miss him at the festival!
Why you need to be there: CRi's last EP was proclaimed in the top albums of the year by Nightlife.ca and it is, in fact, an extremely justified opinion. His ability to combine electronic music and acoustic sounds is unmatched. He often collaborates with very talented local artists such as Compton Chic and Helena Deland. In the last months, CRi sounds were promoted by none other than THUMP.

Do you really need any excuse to make out? Unless you're a mega prude, or saving your lips for marriage, probably not. It's one of the natural luxuries of life, with no cost or special membership required, just two consenting people with a willingness to trade saliva. And, who knows, it can often lead to bigger and better things if the mood and the song is right. There's no bigger buzzkill than making out to the drone of your dishwasher so set the right mood with these perfect make out songs, all by Montreal artists.
1. Seoul - Stay With Us
You spotted her that first day of biology class and caught eyes for a second, but both looked away. You finally summon up the courage to ask her over for a study sesh, because you are currently "dying" with this bio homework. She explains cell theories to you, but all you can think about are her eyes. You ask if it's ok if you put on a song, "Stay With Us" is what you chose, and the rest is history.
2. High Klassified - Broken Elbows
You're at a dark club and you haven't made your move on anyone yet, and now it's starting to get late. Are you going home alone tonight? And then out of nowhere you spot that cutie from the beginning of the evening who was staring you down. "Broken Elbows" suddenly comes on, and you know exactly what you have to do.
3. AlunaGeorge - Kaleidoscope Love (Kaytranada Edition)
Your girl just got back from visiting her parents and you're picking her up from the airport. You just discovered this new Kaytranada remix so you play it for her. It's a warm summer night as you cruise down Santa Monica Blvd. (beautiful Decarie). She has so much to tell you, but neither of you are talking, so you pull into the back lot of a nearby dep, lower your seat down and turn up the volume.
4. Black Atlass - Jewels
Break-ups are hard, but when she/he comes back to you apartment to pick up their things, you know exactly what song to play for "one last round."
5. Dead Horse Beats - Sink (AtamOne/DHB/Frase)
You stumble home from drinks with Stacey, the bombshell from human resources. After a couple of old fashioned's, you settle down on your couch. You press play on your stereo and "Sink" is the first song that comes on... just your luck mate.
6. Fonkynson - In My Heart
You step into the club, decked from head to toe in purple and gold. The entire the club freezes and the spotlight hits you. You spot her immediately from across the dancefloor, point at her, pull a quick spin and shuffle your way over, pulling out your best moves as the Dj throws down the Fonkynson record. She grabs your gold medallion and pulls you in... the night is yours, my friend.
7. SUUNS - Edie's Dream
It's been raining all day, and you're stuck indoors, wearing your baggy Rugrats t-shirt. What else is there to do than chill under the covers and make out. Your boyfriend has been talking about this new band SUUNS all week, so why not make them the soundtrack to your afternoon.
8. Pomo - Gangdu feat. AstroLogical
You get her over to your swanky apartment after some light persuasion – time to pop a bottle of Remy Martin and sit out on the balcony. Your bring her inside, and after shutting you blinds you turn around and she's already made her way to your poofy comforter, and removed a generous amount of clothing, game time.
9. Nick Wisdom - Things ya do to me
Ever sat around on a comfy chair in your underwear, listening to some R Kelly, while your significant other struts around in front of you in a similar attire? I bet you have, you dirty scroundrel, and I bet you loved it. And then she sits on your lap and whispers some unpublishable thing in your ear. Unfortunately R Kelly isn't from Montreal, but Nick Wisdom's sultry beats are all you need.
10. Morbin - Lozenge
It's all come down to this. A classic love story. You left your wife for her and she abandoned her overbearing family for you. Then life drew you to separate parts of the world, but you called her every day. And then everyone she knows dies in a tragic car crash, and you ran through 6000 miles of ocean to get to her, and now you're both standing in the middle of a busy street in some big city and it's raining and then comes the single most legendary make out of your life.
