Since the launch of the restaurant, Montrealers have shown and proven that they love a good old dirty dog; the business has been such a great success that they expanded into an even larger location in the heart of St-Lo action.
Dirty Dogs takes the frankfurter to a whole other level with some incredibly indulgent and decadent creations. They also make killer poutine.
My personal fav is the Mac N cheese poutine. Look at this beautiful thing, it almost brings a tear to my eye. Pure genius.
I think that this is enough to prove that Dirty Dogs is an innovator when it comes to creative and decadent comfort food.
With that said, looks like they have another fantastic creation that will be released shortly, and we got an exclusive sneak peek at the most expensive hot dog in the world! Just look at this dog.
Here is what makes the dog so unique. First topped with slices of Wagyu beef marinated in 40-year-old Tawny Port, onions caramelized in Dom Pérignon, seared foie gras, shaved black truffles all drizzled with Giuesseppe Giusti balsamic reduction and Iranian saffron-infused mayonnaise and edible 24K gold foil.
Finally, the dog and these incredible toppings are all cradled by a classic Dirty Dogs brioche bun, toasted with truffle butter imported from France.
This dog will not be cheap though. The final price is $500. That is without a doubt, the most expensive hot dog in the world.
You will be able to purchase it in classic dog form or poutine as well. And if you really want to go all-out, you can even purchase a bottle of Dom Pérignon to wash it all down for $250.
