Girls who scoff at boys for obsessing ovr luxury cars should stop for a second and take a hard look at themselves. In the end, cars are to boys like bags and shoes are to girls. Right?
TL;DR An Instagram video captures the aftermath of a crash on a Montreal highway involving a $450,000 Ferrari 488 Spider. Scroll down for the video.
Before you jump on my throat, I admit that – yes, not every man is a die-hard car lover, nor is every girl a crazy shoe and purse fanatic. Those are pretty antiquated and binary gender stereotypes.
That's not the point I'm trying to make here.
Let's just think about these overused stereotypes for argument's – and more importantly, entertainment's – sake.
Both objects, cars and purses, serve a pretty boring and utiliarian purpose: get you and/or your stuff from point A to point B.
However, a luxury or exotic vehicle surpasses its basic utiliarian pupose by offering superior and world-class performance, signature design, and thoughtful aesthetic. In other words, it's just like a luxury bag, or any other fancy piece of clothing for that matter.
You get my point now? Good!
Now, moving on to the REAL part of the story. You probably already know about the Facebook group "Montreal Car Spotting."
It's a digital group where car enthusiasts can gather and post pictures of all the unique vehicles spotted around the city. They don't even need to be luxury ones necessarily. They can be vintage, too – basically just any special car that catches the eye.
This moring a user posted a quick video of what appeared to be a Ferarri Spider 488, a car worth approximately $450,000, crash on the highway in Montreal. The video was captured by @alexandrunichitiu.
Ouch. Looks like someone took their fancy car out for the last spin of the season and got a little too excited. That's definitely gonna hurt the wallet.
