Donald Trump Bans Transgender People From Joining The U.S. Army

The President of the United States Donald Trump made a rather controversial series of tweets this morning where he said: "The United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military."

It was President Obama's administration who decided last year to allow transgender people to serve openly in the military. And it was estimated in 2016 that 2,450 out of 1.2 million active service members are transgender.
