The first thing you will notice when you walk through the doors of Majestique is how enchanting it is. This Montreal jewel is one of those places that transports you to a different place and time.

The captivating atmosphere and delicious and affordable quality food and drinks makes this the ideal spot to check out after a long day at the office.

Suwu

Where: 3581 Boul. Saint-Laurent  

Suwu is located on the corner of Saint-Laurent and Prince Arthur and is known for its amazing ambience, delightful cocktails and delicious food.  

Not only is Suwu an awesome Montreal establishment but it is one of the best places to go to for happy hour.

Burger Bar Crescent

Burger Bar Crescent serves legendary patties.

However, what not many people know is that it is also one of the best happy hour joints on the island.  

Burger Bar Crescent has a 2 for 1 special during happy hours making this an ideal spot to grab a bite after work!

Nyks Bistro Bar

Where: 1250 Rue de Bleury    

Stocked with good beer and even better food, Nyks is without a doubt one of the best places in Montreal to go to after work.  

It has fourteen beers on tap and a kitchen that is open until 11 PM.

Méchant Boeuf Bar-Brasserie

This Montreal bar is known for two things: AAA Angus Beef steaks and incredible happy hour deals.  

With $1 oysters and $30 sangria pitchers,* this is by far one of the coolest happy hour destinations in our city.  

This is a great place for an after work date. If it is going well, you can even turn the drink into a dinner.

Mezcaleros Tapas & Cocktails

Where: 5834 Avenue Park

Wednesday tends to be the longest day of the week. You are stuck in the middle far from the start of the week but not yet at the weekend. Well, Mezcaleros makes Wednesdays a lot better.

All night, every Wednesday, this Mile End gem serves up savoury tacos with a side of cheap drinks.

Local beers and short drinks are $6 while signature cocktails are $8.95.

My favourite is the piña colada but I hear the margarita is great also!

Le Sainte-Élisabeth

Where: 1412 Rue Sainte-Élisabeth  

This Montreal establishment is one of our city’s most underrated gems.

Not only is the location super warm and welcoming but they have an amazing happy hour with really cheap pints.  

Le Sainte-Élisabeth also has one of the most adorable terrasses — the perfect spot to wind down at after a hard day of work.

Sir Winston Churchill Pub

Where: 1455 Rue Crescent

Located on the popular rue Crescent, the Sir Winston Churchill Pub is a Montreal landmark. Almost every Montreal native has a memory within those four walls.  

Sir Winston Churchill has an amazing happy hour, until 8 p.m. the drinks are 2 for 1 and I don’t think enough of us are taking advantage of it.  

This place is especially convenient if you work downtown because you can just hop on the metro after your happy hour comes to an end.

Le Mal Necessaire

Le Mal Necessair is a stylish tiki-style bar. It serves exotic drinks that are as delicious as they look.  

The 1970’s vibe gives the place a cool twist and the outdoor seating is key.

During happy hour, they have discounted pitchers!

Kyo

If you are looking for good Japanese food and a comfortable atmosphere stocked with sake, this is the place for you.  

The sushi out of this world and the wide selection of other traditional Japanese dishes are beyond amazing.  

With over twenty-five kinds of sake on its menu (the largest selection in Montreal), Kyo is a sake lover's dream.

There is no real happy hour special but if you want to do something different or if you love drinking sake, this is the spot you want to be at.

New City Gas

Every Thursday throughout the summer, New City Gas opens its doors for a happy hour.

This is the perfect place to go for those Montrealers that love a good outdoor party. 

This is not a happy hour for those looking to score a deal on drinks however, even without a 2 for 1 special, NCG happy hour is worth checking out. 

NCG’s 5 à 7 supplies a fun and lively atmosphere with a ton of people — perfect if you are looking to meet a special someone.

Furco

Where: 425 Rue Mayor

Located on the rue Mayor in downtown Montreal, Furco is one of those spots that screams happy hour.  

The charming décor combined with their awesome menu designed to share has yet to disappoint. A cool thing about Furco is that they have organic wines as well as a delicious bar menu.  

Thursday is the best evening to go. It is super busy, super fun and super full of hot singles.  Even though there are no real "happy hour" deals here, the vibe is so good, it is worth checking out!
