Ludo Café is one of those hip Montreal spots that you are going to want to know about. It opened at the end of June of this year and has been killing it ever since.

Not only can you get a delicious cup of coffee and some treats but, behind the white doors, there's also a full-on boxing ring. That's right, coffee and boxing — a combination we never knew we needed!

You may just feel like you're in Los Angeles, as no one in Montreal has ever created something even close to this.

We spoke with owner Antoine Tava, who also happens to be one of our city's most talented artists, about this unique spot and how it came into existence.

What's the inspiration behind Panda Boxing?

Tava told us that he wanted the space to feel "exclusive and intimate" and that it was very important for him to "embrace an underground vibe."

The team set out to create a world that would let members of Panda Boxing leave all their problems behind and focus on their fitness goals — without any exterior distractions.

That explains the dim lighting, barricaded windows, and of course, the speakeasy entrance to the studio space.

How does the vibe of Ludo Café and Panda Boxing come together?

From the to-go cups and the Kaws dolls to the art on the walls, the decor is truly epic.

You can enter Panda Boxing is through Ludo Café.

The café has a separate space from Panda Boxing and is described as "a space in which our boxers or coffee lovers alike can hang out."

Tava describes it as "sleek and fun with a strong artistic flair" and says that they're "always looking to innovate and stay creative in our workouts and our branding."

Panda Boxing offers expert-level coaches in Boxing, Muay Thai, and Hiit.

What's on the menu at Ludo Café?

There are a ton of smoothies and coffees to pick up as well as some snacks including one of our go-to cookies, Sundaiz.

Ludo is a great place to check out if you want "good, healthy eating and even better vibes."

The menu is packed with delicious bites, rich in protein snacks and they even have their own blend of coffee used in all espresso-based beverages.

The menu goes perfectly with this motivating atmosphere that is created by the music, community, and art that surround you.
