- For the last Premier Vendredi food truck event of 2019 at the Montreal Olympic Park, guests will be able to enjoy a selection of BBQ treats.
- Fear not, because though the end of Premiers Vendredis signals the end of summer, the event will be back for the 2020 season!
It's time to say goodbye to some of our iconic Montreal staples for the year. The famed and delicious Les Premiers Vendredi monthly food truck event will be closing its doors and driving off, not to be seen again until 2020.
But let's not be too sad yet. On October 4, Les Premiers Vendredi will be hosting its final au revoir of the season with a giant BBQ themed party and everyone is invited.
There will be over 40 food trucks in attendance at the Olympic Stadium, along with various artisans to keep you and your stomach entertained. And if you need a break from all that eating, you can enjoy a glass of wine from their extensive wine list at the SAQ terrace in the heart of the event.
Never ones to miss a party, Tanqueray, Ketel One, and Smirnoff Crown Royal will also be there celebrating with cocktail tasting tents.
Guests can also enjoy live musical performances that night on two stages while enjoying a range of microbrews from Archibald Microbrewery and Mill Street Brewery.
According to the event listing, though the names haven't been released yet, several surprise restaurants will also be on hand to take part in the special BBQ.
So, consider this your official invitation to the 2019's last edition of the Les Premiers Vendredi.
As always, admission is free for everyone, even your dogs. For this October event only, you are welcome to bring man's best friend with you.
Make sure to have cash on hand to sample all the greasy, mouthwatering concoctions from your favourite trucks. Some trucks do accept credit or debit cards, but you wouldn't want to put a limit on your taste buds.
Les Premiers Vendredi is the largest food truck gathering in all of Quebec. So you can bet this end of season party will be one of their biggest and best yet.
The event is easy to get to from the green line. Jump off at Pie IX metro station, and from there it's a quick four-minute walk.
Have no fear, this much-loved food truck event will be back next year and hopefully with even more food trucks in tow.
