What: Flavourful homemade soups that are one of a kind in Montreal! Seriously — no one else in the city makes Phnom Penh noodle soup. It's a must-try!

Maison Samosa Express
What: A classic, no-frills Indian restaurant that lives up to its name with deliciously huge samosas. Don't sleep on the butter chicken, either.

What: Back when I was in Vanier, this place wasn't around but people rave about it! You'll find budget-friendly Korean food in a low-key setting and huge portions. Why wasn't this place around when I was at Vanier?

What: A short walk past D building and you'll find one of the best-kept secrets in all of Montreal. Abu Elias is perhaps the most authentic Lebanese grocer in all of Montreal. I have fond memories of that place — going back right now! See ya there.

What: Though known as a bakery specializing in wedding cakes and Italian sweets, Dolci Piu has a seriously awesome sandwich and rectangle pizza selection that goes fast around lunchtime!
