The majority of new cases are among young adults, according to the health minister.
"The [rise in] cases is worrisome in Mauricie. The majority are 18-30 years old," Dubé tweeted. He said that among new cases,* "80% of these people have not received their 1st dose and none have received their 2nd dose."

Between July 22 August 2, the number of active COVID-19 cases in the Mauricie and Centre-du-Quebec region went from 17 to 150 — an increase of 133 cases, according to the Institut national de santé publique du Québec (INSPQ).
In Quebec, 73.7% of the population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, according to ministry of health data.
Over the last two weeks, Montrealers aged 20 to 29 made up 34.4% of all new COVID-19 cases in the city, with 224 new cases in the age group.
*Editor's note: An earlier version of this article's headline misstated the prevalence of vaccination in Mauricie. It has been updated.
The queen herself, Canadian Drag icon Priyanka, sat down for Narcity's qNa series to spill the tea on Canada's Drag Race, her new album, and what it's like being an icon.
Although she came into Canada's Drag Race believing she was a contender, she did have moments of doubt after being in the bottom twice.
But looking back on the situation, Priyanka says "it's okay to fall sometimes as that's what solidifies the crown."
When speaking of her transition from a host of YTV's The Zone to Drag Race icon, Priyanka finds it "inspiring that kids growing up are going to have this guy they used to watch on Spongebob Squarepants now be the winner of Canada's Drag Race."
For the release of her new song "Cake," Priyanka shot a music video in Toronto's Casa Loma which gave her the opportunity to "enjoy her dreams" while having her Canada's Drag Race sisters alongside her.
Priyanka recommends aspiring drag queens "learn about the culture" and to "just do it, and get excited, and ask questions, and just know that drag could change your life."
The mall said the "external producer did not meet [its] standards and internal procedures."
UPDATE: This event has been cancelled. In a statement, Quartier DIX30 said that "considering that the event proposed by an external producer did not meet the standards and internal procedures of our organization, we confirm that we are ending the collaboration with this promoter and therefore the Jurassic Fest Montreal event will not take place on the Quartier DIX30 site."
EARLIER: This October, a festival with life-sized animatronic dinosaurs is coming to the Montreal area — and if you've always wanted to feel like you were in Jurassic Park then this is your chance.
Jurassic Fest Montreal promises to bring 19 "moving, breathing, blinking and roaring" creatures to Quartier DIX30 in Brossard from October 22 to 30, taking us back in time to the era when dinosaurs roamed the Earth.
The exhibition will be an opportunity for you to get up close and personal with several species of dinosaurs, such as a 15-metre Tyrannosaurus Rex and 10-metre Triceratops.
Presented in a tour format, you will learn about the history of the dinosaurs, including their extinction, see their fossils and experience how it feels to walk among these prehistoric reptiles.
