Old Montreal is for many one of the best places to visit in Montreal. The historical value in the old architecture, the cute shops that line the narrow streets, and all of the events and attractions down by the port is what makes it both a tourist and local favourite.

1. Watch Fireworks at the Montreal International Fireworks Competition
Running from July 7 to August 8, the best views for this event are going to be in Old Port. Take a nice evening stroll with your significant other and bring a blanket to sit on while watching the fireworks all night. The event is selling tickets to see the show up close, but you can get the same great seating for absolutely free by staying in Old Montreal.
2. Go on a Treasure Hunt!
This Old Port favourite is filled with 2 kilometres of interactive maze filled with obstacles and traps, the goal being you solve the mystery within an alotted time to escape the maze and win.
