So the Jazz Festival, the Just For Laughs Festival, Osheaga, and plenty of other events have already come and gone. What else is there to look forward to before the end of summer? Well, there are actually plenty of events happening right here in Montreal! These are the the top 5 events taking place in Montreal this August.

1. Heavy MTL

This music festival takes place from August 7-9 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. With headlining artists Korn, Faith No More, and Slipknot, and many more featured musical guests, this festival will be every metal fan’s dream! For more info check out the Heavy MTL website.

2. Fashion and Design Festival

The Musée d'Art Contemporain de Montréal, the Passerelle Casino de Montréal and more will be hosting a variety of different fashion shows from the 17th of August to the 22nd. Find out more on their website.

3. International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

From the 8-16, hot air balloons will be sent off in the skies of Quebec right before performances from various artists including Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth and Tyler Shaw. For tickets and schedules, visit their official website.


4. Montreal Pride

All over the city, LGBTQ+ pride will be celebrated the week of August 10th. From Pride Day at La Ronde on the 14th, to a Pride Run on Mount-Royal on the 15th at 10 am, to a World Peace Concert at the TD Music Stage on the 11th at 7 pm, the possibilities to celebrate pride are endless. 5. Île Soniq

Finally, our #1 event during the month of August, IleSoniq, will be taking place at Parc Jean Drapeau on the 14th and 15th. Artists such as Azalea Banks, DJ Snake, Kiesza, and so many more will be hitting the stage throughout the weekend. Visit their website for tickets and details.
