The most important meal of the day, breakfast is where you get your first dose of grease, carbs, and protein to start your day. No matter what kind of foods you prefer to start your day, we compiled the best of the bunch (or brunch) inside Montreal.

Le Cristal Chinois

Change things up by getting dim sum as brunch. With food like steamed buns, phoenix claws, and turnip cake, anyone who doesn't know Chinese food is in for an adventure.

6th floor, 998 Boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montréal, QC H2Z 9Y9

2087 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, Montréal, QC H3H 1M6
Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, which is why you need to have as much chocolate in it as possible.

Al-Baghdadi Pastry

Take a break from the usual breakfast places, and try this Middle Eastern bakery for fresh pastries to start your day.

Bagel Expressions Beaver Hall

All the usual breakfast foods -  fruits, toast, omelettes, crepes and waffles, all served in a local downtown spot, for when you want a bistro-ish vibe in your breakfast.

Bagels on Greene

A local favourite for years, Bagels on Greene offers something for everyone. Tons of different options for everyone, from vegans to die-hard carnivores. The place to go when you don't know where to go. Technically in Westmount, but it's a 5 minute walk from Atwater metro. It's worth the walk.

Le Montréalais

Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth, 900 Rene Levesque Blvd, Montréal, H3B 4A5
You'll probably need a reservation, but Le Montrealais offers an all-you-can eat brunch buffet, in one of the nicest hotels in Montreal. The price could be steep compared to a bowl of cereal at home, but the crepe station more than makes up for it.
