Croissants + French Toast = Croissant French Toast Sticks
Just when you thought croissants were perfect as is.
Frozen French Toast Sticks seemed like the most genius of ideas back in the innocent days of our youth, and in truth, the easy to make + dip-able breakfast delights are just as great today, but now we're a little older, and our taste-buds demand something a little more refined. Opt out of a pre-made frozen breakfast and go big on flavour (with minimal work) by making these Caramelized Croissant French Toast Sticks.
Two breakfast delicacies combine in this recipe (courtesy of HalfBakedHarvest) but the difficulty/amount of work is still pretty minimal. Just get mini-croissants (or cut regular ones into strips) soak 'em in French Toast batter, then fry to golden brown perfection.
Once you've got your sinfully cinnamon-y croissant French Toast sticks prepared, skies the limit on how you want to eat them. The original recipe recommends coffee maple syrup to dip (instant coffee + maple, basically) which sounds amazing, but you could also opt for regular maple syrup, honey, whipped cream, or whatever you like. Just make sure to dust 'em with powdered sugar, because, well, it makes the Caramelized Croissant French Toast Sticks just look so delectable.
