Polar beer, the frozen alcoholic trend that’s taking off around the world, will be available in Montreal starting this weekend.

The deliciously frosty beverage comes out of a machine similar to a soft serve ice cream dispenser. The machine spits out ice-cold beer topped with a swirl of frozen foam that helps the liquid underneath to stay cold.

Polar beer originated in Japan, before DK Squared inc. brought it to Toronto.

David Kim, founder of DK Squared inc., spoke with us and confirmed that they’re launching at Big in Japan, with installation and training to begin at the bar this Saturday.

How excited are you for polar beer?
