The other day I was sitting on the couch feeling a little bored and eating Ben and Jerry's cookie dough ice cream. That's when I started thinking to myself: "Is this actually cookie dough, or some kind of cookie dough flavored nuggets?"\nSince I couldn't figure it out by taste alone, I decided that there was only one solution to this problem.\nI must extract every single bit of cookie dough from this ice cream and see if I can make a cookie out of it.\nIf it actually works, then it would be the greatest cookie ever made. Then I figured if I'm going to make one, I might as well make 2 of them and stick the rest of the ice cream in between them.\nI didn't know it at the time, but I had just embarked on a quest to create the world's tastiest Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich:\nSo I got myself another tub of ice cream and started picking the cookie dough bits out with 2 spoons.\nIt actually took a lot less time than I had expected, which is perfect because I was really hungry.\nHere's what I managed to get. I Let the ice cream melt off for a few minutes.\nI dumped them on a paper towel to soak up the rest of the ice cream...\n...and of course I made sure to save all the extra ice cream.\nNow it's time to make some cookies!\nI put them in the oven at 350°C for 10 minutes.\nI can't believe it actually worked. They turned out perfect. A little crispy on the outside and warm and soft on the inside.\nI let them cool a few minutes so they wouldn't melt the ice cream.\nAlmost done.\nThis is going to get messy.\nTotally worth it. It's one of the dumbest ideas I've ever had. But it worked and it proves that Ben and Jerry's uses real cookie dough.
