Here is a list of what one writer believes are the most authentic gyros in Laval. After we published a similar list for Montreal, many reached out encouraging us to do the same for the suburb to the north. Let us know if we missed your favourite spot! Visit MTLBlog for more headlines. To many of Montreal residents, Laval seems like a foreign land. However, the reality is that it is only a bridge away and there is actually more to the city than just shopping at Carrefour. Recently, we wrote on the most authentic gyros in Montreal. In response, a lot of our readers opined that the best gyros are in fact in Laval. This is not surprising due to the large population of Greeks living in Laval. The Chomedy area has even been called “little Greece” due to its abundance of Greek food and culture. We decided to leave the 514 and head on over to the 450 to see what all the hype was about, and guys…it was totally worth the drive! Below is a list of what we believe are the most authentic gyro in Laval. Of course, we are open to suggestions, and if we missed your favourite spot, shoot us a message @MTLBlog on Instagram or Twitter! Not only are the family style plates to die for, but the gyro is simply next level. The fresh pita combined with the flavours of the meat mixed with their homemade tzatziki is pretty epic. Christinas prides itself on the quality and authenticity of their meals and you could taste a little bit of Greece in every bite. Check out the restaurant Instagram page here! This established Greek diner serves up savoury souvlaki plates, mind-blowing gyros and tasty salads. Village Grec is known to Greeks as a go-to spot to get that Greek street food craving taken care of. Check it out here! Not only is the meat to sauce ratio perfect, but everything is seasoned to perfection. You can also add french fries to your gyro, which is actually how they do it in Greece.
