• Montreal is packed with thousands of good restaurants, but its dumpling game is on another level.
  • And the best part about dumplings? They make for the perfect meal to share with a date!
  • Find out the best 21 spots around the city to fill your dumpling craving below!

Once the cold weather sets in, I feel like there are very few incentives to step out of my house to go to anywhere, it's hard to convince myself to even get up to go to one of Montreal's many good restaurants. With online shopping and food delivery at my fingertips, it's almost too easy to hibernate all winter long. One of the few things I'll leave my apartment for? Dumplings.

The steamy, soup-y little bundles of happiness are the perfect sweater-weather food, and I can always justify buying a heaping portion of them because they are so cheap! Most of the restaurants on this list won't set you back more than $15 for about a dozen dumplings (not a bad idea for those looking to take a date out on a budget). Not to mention the fact that I fail miserably every time I try to make them on my own.

Montreal has a pretty solid dumpling game. The best part is that you don't necessarily have to make your way down to Chinatown to find some delicious and authentic dumplings. From the West Island to Rosemont, there are some pretty great dumpling restaurants all over the city. Read on for a list of 20 of the best places to find doughy, steamy, flavourful dumplings. You're welcome.
