Montreal Has A New Tartare & Colourful Cocktail Bar
So many choices!
Shaker Cuisine & Mixologie has landed on the Main, so if you're looking for somewhere to beat the heat this weekend and quench your thirst with a bang-on cocktail, this is the spot.
The tartare and cocktail institution has 13 locations around Quebec and they've finally made their way into the heart of Montreal, landing on St-Laurent and providing us with a perfect place to host a big group dinner or hang out on a terrasse and sip something sweet.
The space is actually huge - matched by their equally huge cocktail menu that truly left me gobsmacked and unable to choose.
This is their cocktail menu where you can see they have no shortage of exclusive and unique cocktails served up in cute little Shaker-branded Mason jars.
They also serve up their cocktails in these stunning goblets, for those of you who are yearning for a cocktail you can really drown yourself (or just your sorrows) in.
Also on the menu is a wide selection of tartars and tatakis. I got to try their Beet Carpaccio with goat cheese and the Mini-Lobster Pogos and they were ridiculously good. Honestly, this would 100% be the perfect place to go with some friends, grab a pitcher of sangria and order a bunch of apps to share.
In addition to their unique and exclusive cocktails, they also know how to serve up the classics, like mojitos and Caesars that will not disappoint.
Another awesome option offered at Shaker is their 6 different varieties of Sangria, with fruit flavours like strawberry, grapefruit and peach.
The peach sangria is absolutely amazing and I totally loved it, but I am also a sucker for peach anything, so don't take my word for it - go and pick out your fave flavour.
The experience at Shaker is one of undeniable expertise. Their staff are super attentive - proof that I was not the first to stumble in and feel completely overwhelmed by all the delicious cocktail options that lay before me.
They've got huge booths that make the place perfect for a birthday night out and on Wednesdays and Sundays you can buy bottles of wine and champagne at cost. Seriously. You need to check Shaker out.
