Montreal's long-awaited gourmet food market is finally opening its doors to the public. Unlike any other food court in Montreal, the Time Out Market is a foodie and culinary oasis of the best food top Montreal chefs could possibly serve up.
We were lucky enough to get to try it out before its public opening, and it proved to be worthy of all the noise surrounding it. As of today, November 14, you can check it out for yourself.
Located on the second level of the Eaton Centre, this market takes up over 40,000 square feet and is comprised of 16 restaurants, three bars, retail space, and room for art and music events. There is even a cooking school where you can sign up for workshops on how to make your own epicurean fare.
This is the first Time Out Market in Canada and it couldn't have launched in a city better than Montreal, already known for our world-class chefs.
Time Out is known a the go-to magazine source for the best things to do and eat in cities worldwide.
With its latest 514 markets, they went by the strict rule, "If it’s good, it goes in the magazine; if it’s great, it goes in the market."
The food has been curated by Montreal's top chefs and includes Montreal fine dining restaurant staples like Le Club Chasse et Pêche, Grumman ‘78, Burger T!, Olive et Gourmando, Moleskine, and vegan-vegetarian resto Foodchain.
But you won't want to miss out on the pastry concept Hof SuCrée, or the simple creations from Montréal Plaza Deli that will make you feel like you've never eaten a real Caesar Salad before.

The three bars consist of a wine bar with selections from every prominent wine-producing country on the planet, a beer bar that serves Québec microbreweries, and the cocktail Time Out bar that feature a list of drinks from ten of the best bars in the city.
And all of this is easily accessible through the metro or the underground city. You'll barely have to step outside to experience the mouth-watering pleasure of this place - perfect for avoiding the cold in the winter!
