You Can Now Get 'Soft-Serve Ice Cream Cold Brew Floats' In Montreal
A cool caffeinated sweet summer treat!
On a day like today, there's only one proper way to cool off: ice cream. Whether you prefer sorbet, ice cream, gelato or soft-serve, we can all agree that the sweet, frozen dessert cures all.
I personally love soft-serve ice cream but I know that, for many, it's the "childish" way to ice cream: soft serve is like gelato's younger, less cultured brother.
However, there are some great shops in Montreal that are changing the soft-serve game. Ice cream stores are coming up with refined flavours and interesting ways of serving soft-serve.
For example, this "cold brew float" from Noble Café.
Noble Café opened in the summer of 2015, and it's been keeping people in the Mile End caffeinated and happy ever since.
It offers many delicious drinks and pastries, including the best summer drink/dessert of all time: the cold brew float.
This drink is the caffeinated dessert you didn't know you needed. It's a refined version of the root beer float: a swirl of vanilla soft serve topped with cold brew coffee.
I think it's the perfect afternoon pick-me-up: a nice dose of caffeine that will also satisfy your sweet tooth and keep you cool in this intense heat.
Not to mention the fact that it looks absolutely gorgeous.
The café is also known for another sweet treat that is only available in the summer: the cookie dough ice cream sandwich.
Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: cookie dough squares with ice cream in the middle. Yum.
You and I both know that, though ice cream can't solve all of our problems, it can definitely make us feel a little better. Ice cream is always there for you, through warm days, breakups, birthdays and celebrations.
Go ahead and try a cold brew float today. Treat yourself!
