Poutine Potato Skins Are The Late-Night Snack You'll Be Eating ASAP
Potatoes are delicious. We all know this. Name a delicious snack, and there's a strong chance it's made with the good ol' potato. Chips, fries, hash browns, home fries, latkes, the list can go on and on.
But you know what's better than a delicious dish made with potato? A snack that is made with potato, then put inside another potato! Yes, we're talking about potato-ception here people, and it has finally been achieved thanks to the dawn of the Poutine Potato Skins.
Originally created by Simple Comfort Food, the Poutine Potato Skins are snack-time at its finest. Not only do you get the standard decadence of a poutine, but you also got the double-carb magic of having the entire thing encased in a potato skin. It's the best kind of witchcraft.
Making these potato bad boys is a fairly simple process, too. All you really need to do is boil potatoes, halve them, take out the insides, then roast 'em in the oven for a bit.
Once your skins come out all nice and toasty, throw some french fries and squeaky cheese curds, cover the deliciously hot mess with some piping hot gravy and you're ready to indulge like never before.
To facilitate the consumption of some potato-on-potato action, we'd recommend just getting prepared (or frozen) fries, and the same goes for the gravy. That way, all you really need to do is make the skins, have the rest of the ingredients ready to go, and you can whip up some Poutine Potato Skins in less than an hour.
