Cronuts have been the 'it' summer food trend, and don't seem to be losing any steam. New cities are catching on daily to the croissant-craze, with new varieties of cronuts and croissant-inspired snacks. Some are sweet, some are savoury, and all look deliciousley epic. Here are a few of the many croissant creations to astound your eyes and your tastebuds.\nThe Dosant\nWith cronuts as the inspiration, London based bakery Duck and Waffle made their own variation titled 'The Dosant.' Still fried, the dosant differs in that it is long like an actual croissant, fried and glazed with cinnoman sugar, and is available with a chantilly cream filling, or chocolate chips. Creamy and sweetly greasy, London's answer the cronut may be better than the original.\nCroissant Bread Pudding\nOne of the more logical croissant combos is the Croissant Bread Pudding. Much like the name suggests, the Cro-Pudding is a bread pudding where croissant dough has substituted dense bread. The switch makes a bread pudding that is lighter (but not in calories) and flakier than the traditional, but still just as creamy and delicious.\nThe Crookie\nStraight outta Toronto is the Crookie. A combination of croissant and cookie (duh), the Crookie is the love child between an orea and a croissant. Clafoutie Patisserie and Cafe created the Crookie after being tasked to meld two traditional desserts. Flakey, gooey, and crunchy all at once, the Crookie is made to be eaten with a tall glass of milk.\nCroissant Cheese Spiral Pie\nTaking it to the side of savoury is the Croissant Cheese Spiral Pie. Using croissant dough, this pie is stuffed with herbs and feta cheese, then rolled out into a hypnotically delicious spiral shape. Pulled apart or sliced like a pizza, the Croissant Cheese Spiral Pie can be shared, or hoarded all to yourself. You know you want it all.\nThe Cronut Burger\nLast, and certainly not least, is the logical next step for the cronut, to add meat and call it a burger. Sure, we already covered the Cronut Burger, but this puppy begs to be talked about, and eaten, again and again. A juicy meat patty with cheese sandwiches between sweet fried dough, the Cronut Burger is a miniature cardiac arrest in flavour and grease.\nKnow any other crazy croissant creations?
