If you only have time to visit one place this season, make it the "Ice Valley" in the Hautes-Gorges-de-la-Rivière-Malbaie National Park in Charlevoix, Quebec. Exposed to the elements in an enchanting park covered in ice, you'll be without cell service or wifi, leaving you and your travel companion alone with the elements.
The "Ice Valley" is the first area of the entire park to be opened to the public during the winter. Since December 2018, investment in park maintenance during the winter months has allowed guests to enjoy the winter wonderland while it's here.
As if walking on a frozen river surrounded by giant cliffs wasn't cool enough, you can also spend your time snowshoeing, skiing, or even climbing the snow-covered mountains. The trail leads you to the service center where you can warm up by the fire, making a perfect end to an eventful day in one of Quebec's most scenic parks.
If you're looking for even more adrenaline on your excursion, board the "Ice Shuttle." The 22-seat vehicle runs along the "Ice Valley" twice a day from the service center.
