Many Ariana Grande fans are definitely obsessed, and the singer can't do much without having her every gesture and sentence over-analysed. From the "BBQ grill" tattoo that went viral for all of the wrong reasons to in-depth analyses of her music videos, fans clock it all. The chart-topping singer/songwriter has been in the spotlight recently for a partnership with Startbucks. Her "Iced Cloud Macchiatos in Caramel and Cinnamon" were released last week, and fans have been relentlessly ordering the "Grande" version of the drink. However, some fans have noted one small problem with the drink: it's not vegan, despite the fact that Ariana Grande herself has supposedly been vegan for years. Ariana Grande revealed in a tweet back in 2013 that she was officially going to start following a strictly vegan diet. I've eaten organically since I was little and always kept meat minimal but today marks my first day as a 100% Vegan!!!! Joyous day 🐣🐄💓🐟🐓💕☀️ — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) November 5, 2013 Fans where therefore confused when Ariana posted this photo in which she is pictured wearing the recognisable green Starbucks apron and slurping on her new drink: 🌫 @starbucks cloud #cloudmacchiato #starbucksambassador #trythesoyversion 🌱 pic.twitter.com/y2LRAx33Sq — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) March 5, 2019 (side note: didn't Starbuck ban plastic straws? Those straws kind of look like the re-usable kind but it's not clear) Starbucks themselves state that the drink contains egg white: Introducing new Iced Cloud Macchiatos in Caramel and Cinnamon. So light and fluffy they’re basically a cloud in a cup. 🌬☁️#CloudMacchiato*Cloud foam contains egg whites pic.twitter.com/TyiAGKgGQO — Starbucks Coffee (@Starbucks) March 5, 2019 Furthermore, the caramel drizzle is made with condensed milk. Therefore, even if fans take Ariana's suggestion to try it with a non-dairy milk, the drink still wouldn't be vegan. Fans of Grande were quick to notice the contradiction between the drink's ingredients and Ariana's diet: Aren’t you #vegan though? Why is your sponsored drink not reflecting that? You’re normally so good at standing up for what’s right — snow-bunny yogi vegan basic bitch (@eringrr) March 7, 2019 Isn't ariana grande vegan? Why is she promoting a drink with dairy? "Try the soy version"... hunny the caramel drizzle & cloud powder both have dairy in them... but go off sis make everyone pay the extra 60 cents for soy milk and boost Starbuck's sales — rachel (@14rachelwolff) March 5, 2019 Wait isnt Ariana Grande vegan? Yall she cant even drink the cloud machiattos, they have egg in them😂😂 — Leila Alamango (@theonlyleila) March 5, 2019 Didn’t care for Ariana Grande but then I found out she stopped being Vegan and worked with Starbucks to make their only nonvegan drink goodbye — avneet Ⓥ (@avneetsid) March 5, 2019 However, one fan did note that it is possible to order the drink without the non-vegan ingredients. Though, at that point, it just becomes milky sugar... We won't be deleting it since you have the option to change the recipe and to replace the eggs and dairy milk and also remove the caramel/cinnamon drizzle with vegan-friendly ingredients and according to the Starbucks customer service, you can do that just by asking the barista. pic.twitter.com/Yg46kzWXcH — Ariana Grande Access (@arianaaccesscom) March 6, 2019 Some are just taking this as confirmation that Ariana isn't actually vegan: anyways this Starbucks collab with @ArianaGrande is 100% confirmation she isn’t vegan and people need to stop touting her as such. She’s worn fur and released leather shoes while being “vegan” and also p sure her “mini“ pig is underweight — ❄️ frozen lettuce ❄️ (@spooky_vegan) March 5, 2019 This seems like a lot of hate for some egg whites. vegans: we aren’t crazy don’t know why everyone says that we arealso vegans: ARIANA GRANDE MADE ONE SIMPLE MISTAKE AND DRANK A STARBUCKS DRINK THAT HAS EGG WHITES!!! I KNOW WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES BUT SHE’S DEFINITELY A FAKE VEGAN WHO HATES ANIMALS pic.twitter.com/rKnOTeaLwh — Mandy (@mandychegash) March 8, 2019 Even stars make mistakes, you know? #bbqgrill.
